Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate, patient, and creative Art Teacher to inspire children of varying abilities through engaging and inclusive art experiences. The ideal candidate will create a safe, encouraging, and stimulating environment where every child can explore their creativity while developing fine motor skills, sensory integration, imagination, communication, and self-confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate and ability-based art sessions.
- Teach various art forms including drawing, painting, sketching, colouring, clay modelling, craft, collage, mixed media, and creative projects.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, and other developmental conditions.
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, and independent thinking through art.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, special educators, psychologists, and parents to support each child's developmental goals.
- Prepare lesson plans, activity schedules, and maintain student progress records.
- Organize art exhibitions, seasonal displays, workshops, and campus events showcasing students' work.
- Ensure proper maintenance of art materials, equipment, and classroom cleanliness.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
- Follow all child safeguarding, safety, and institutional policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Applied Arts, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification is preferred.
- Certification or experience in Special Education is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience.
- Experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with exceptional artistic skills, patience, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
