Position: QC Chemist
Department: Quality Control (QC)
Purpose
To ensure that all raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and packing materials comply with the established quality standards and customer specifications for PVC Heat Stabilizers, Paint Driers, and Liquid Mixed Metal Chemicals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and packing materials as per approved specifications and test methods.
- Conduct chemical and physical analysis including:
- Metal Content
- Specific Gravity
- Viscosity
- Color (Gardner/APHA)
- Non-Volatile Matter
- Moisture
- Acid Value
- Flash Point
- Solubility
- Appearance
- Prepare and standardize laboratory reagents and volumetric solutions.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments such as:
- Analytical Balance
- Viscometer
- pH Meter
- Oven
- Hot Plate
- Karl Fischer Titrator (if applicable)
- Spectrophotometer (if available)
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) for approved finished products.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, and analytical data.
- Issue material release/rejection status based on test results.
- Ensure proper sample identification, storage, and retention.
- Follow SOPs, GLP and laboratory safety practices.
- Monitor laboratory chemicals, glassware, and consumable inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the laboratory.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and company quality systems.
- Support customer complaint investigations and CAPA implementation.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of wet chemistry and analytical testing.
- Understanding of PVC Heat Stabilizers and Paint Driers.
- Knowledge of ISO systems.
- Computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word).
Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
