Job Summary
Sri Krishna Silks is looking for a responsible and customer-focused Cashier to handle billing, cash transactions, digital payments, and daily cash reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have good numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide a smooth and professional billing experience to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer billing accurately using the POS system.
- Generate invoices and verify product details, quantities, prices, discounts, and offers.
- Receive and process cash, UPI, debit/credit card, and other approved payments.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and provide correct change to customers.
- Maintain and reconcile daily cash collections with POS records.
- Handle billing-related customer queries professionally.
- Process exchanges as per company policy and with required approval.
- Maintain proper records of bills, receipts, payment collections, and other billing documents.
- Coordinate with sales staff, store management, and accounts team regarding billing and payment matters.
- Report cash shortages, excess cash, billing errors, or discrepancies immediately to the Branch Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and discipline at the billing counter.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to cash handling and billing.
- Support the store team during weekends, festive seasons, and promotional periods.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: 10th Pass / Intermediate.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or Retail Billing Executive is preferred.
- Basic computer and POS knowledge.
- Good numerical and calculation skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Honest, responsible, and reliable.
- Basic Excel Knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Candidates with textile, saree, or retail store experience will be preferred.
