A Security Field Officer (SFO) in the security industryacts as the primary link between a security firm and its clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing relationships, and addressing security concerns. Key duties include conducting site inspections, resolving client complaints, managing contracts, and reporting on security performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular communication and site visits.
- Service Quality Monitoring: Conduct regular, functional walkthroughs and site inspections to ensure security personnel adhere to protocols and maintain high professional standards.
- Incident Investigation & Resolution: Investigate client complaints, security breaches, or incidents, working with operations teams to implement corrective actions.
- Reporting & Administration: Prepare, update, and present detailed reports on service performance, incident trends, and client satisfaction to management.
- Contractual Compliance: Manage contract renewals and identify opportunities to enhance services (eg, suggesting additional electronic surveillance or personnel).
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a bridge between the client's internal departments (eg, HR, Facilities) and the security agency's operational staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate security needs and foster relationships.
- Conflict Resolution: Strong ability to mediate issues and solve problems under pressure.
- Organizational Skills: High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks, reports, and sites.
- Security Knowledge: Knowledge of safety procedures, security protocols, and sometimes, the ability to train new security staff.
- Professionalism: Ability to remain calm and maintain a professional demeanor during incidents.
Typical Qualifications
- Previous experience in security Industry is mandatory.
