Job Summary
We are looking for candidates to handle mechanical assembly, fitting, alignment, testing and commissioning of Special Purpose Machines (SPM). Freshers can be considered with basic mechanical knowledge, while experienced candidates should have hands-on machine assembly experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble SPM machines and mechanical sub-assemblies as per engineering drawings.
- Read and understand GA drawings, assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Perform mechanical fitting, drilling, tapping and machine setup.
- Assemble bearings, shafts, couplings, gearboxes, motors, linear guides and ball screws.
- Install pneumatic cylinders, valves, FRL units and tubing.
- Perform machine alignment, leveling and precision fitting.
- Use Vernier, micrometer, dial gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Support machine trial runs, testing and troubleshooting.
- Identify and rectify mechanical assembly issues.
- Coordinate with Design, Electrical, PLC and Production teams.
- Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.
- Maintain assembly quality, 5S and safety standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment properly.
- Prepare basic daily assembly/progress reports.
Required Skills
- Basic/strong knowledge of mechanical components.
- Mechanical drawing reading.
- Mechanical fitting and assembly.
- Knowledge of pneumatics is an advantage.
- Machine alignment and precision measurement.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Good teamwork and communication.
- Willingness to travel for installation/commissioning.
Experience-wise Requirement
0–1 Year / Fresher
- ITI/Diploma Mechanical candidates.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and components.
- Willingness to learn SPM assembly and automation.
1–3 Years
- Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly.
- SPM/automation/machine-building experience preferred.
- Good drawing-reading and alignment skills.
