Role Overview
Dev Milk Foods Private Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Plant Accountant to manage and strengthen factory-level finance operations. The role will be critical in ensuring accurate cost tracking, inventory control, vendor payment management and real-time financial visibility for plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Accounting & Costing
- Maintain and monitor product costing, BOM validation, and variance analysis
- Track material consumption vs. standards and identify inefficiencies
- Prepare and analyze daily/weekly/monthly plant MIS reports
- Monitor production costs, yield, and wastage trends
2. Inventory & Stores Control
- Ensure accurate accounting of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Conduct and reconcile physical stock verification at regular intervals
- Monitor inventory movements and ensure proper documentation
- Control and report slow-moving and obsolete inventory
3. Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with internal policies
- Maintain proper documentation for audits (internal/external)
- Strengthen internal controls around procurement, consumption, and dispatch
4. Accounts & Transactions
- Oversee purchase accounting, GRN validation, and vendor reconciliations
- Vendor payments
- Monitor expenses booked at plant level and ensure correctness
- Support in monthly closing activities and provisions
5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with production, stores, procurement, and logistics teams
- Provide actionable insights to plant leadership for cost optimization
- Liaise with HO finance team for reporting and audits
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum Qualification: Inter CWA / CMA (Intermediate)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing/factory environment (FMCG/Food industry preferred)
- Strong exposure to plant accounting, inventory management, and costing
Key Skills
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory control
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, or similar)
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot Tables, MIS reporting, data analysis)
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
