Job Summary:
The IP Billing Manager is responsible for managing the complete inpatient billing process, ensuring accurate and timely bill generation, insurance coordination, compliance with hospital policies, and efficient team management. The role focuses on maintaining billing accuracy, minimizing revenue leakage, and providing excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the IP Billing Department.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of inpatient bills.
- Monitor patient admissions, billing activities, and discharge billing processes.
- Verify charges for consultations, investigations, procedures, pharmacy, and consumables before final billing.
- Coordinate with insurance, TPA, and corporate teams for cashless approvals and claim settlements.
- Resolve billing discrepancies, patient queries, and escalated billing issues.
- Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies, insurance guidelines, and statutory regulations.
- Monitor pending bills, credit bills, discounts, refunds, and billing adjustments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly billing and revenue reports.
- Coordinate with clinical departments, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, and accounts for smooth billing operations.
- Train, guide, and evaluate the performance of the IP billing team.
- Implement process improvements to reduce billing errors and improve turnaround time.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient and financial information.
- Support internal and external audits by providing billing records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or a related field.
- Master's Degree or Hospital Administration qualification is preferred.
Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in hospital billing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inpatient billing processes.
- Knowledge of TPA, insurance, and corporate billing procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
