Core responsibilities
Plan and control melting, molding, pouring, fettling, finishing, and dispatch activities.
Monitor metal chemistry, process stability, rejection rates, and corrective actions.
Supervise and train production, maintenance, and supervisory staff. Coordinate with QA/QC, maintenance, stores, planning, and commercial teams.
Improve yield, reduce scrap, control raw material consumption, and lower production cost.
Ensure safety, environmental, ISO, and statutory compliance.
Skills expected
Strong knowledge of foundry operations, metallurgy, and casting processes.
Leadership, manpower handling, and problem-solving ability.
Experience with production planning, equipment maintenance, and quality systems.
Ability to read drawings, customer specifications, and production reports.
Typical qualifications
B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering is commonly preferred.
Several years of foundry experience, often with 3–5 years in a managerial role.
Exposure to steel casting, non-ferrous casting, or specific furnace and molding systems depending on the plant.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
