We are looking for a skilled Continental Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in preparing continental cuisine, including European, Mediterranean, and Western dishes. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and innovating new dishes to enhance our menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes including soups, salads, sauces, meats, seafood, and desserts.
- Ensure high standards of food presentation, taste, and portioning.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Develop new menu items and ensure creativity in plating and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and minimize food waste.
- Train and supervise junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Work closely with the restaurant management team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared on time and meet customer expectations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Continental Chef or similar role in a reputed restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Western, Mediterranean, and European cuisines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Culinary certification or relevant hospitality degree preferred.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Creativity in food plating and presentation.
