Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Planning and teaching engaging, age-appropriate computer lessons covering basic computer fundamentals, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and introduction to coding.
- Practical Training: Conducting hands-on sessions in the computer lab, ensuring students learn to operate hardware and software safely and efficiently.
- Assessment: Tracking student progress, conducting practical/theory exams, and providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Lab Management: Maintaining the computer lab, ensuring equipment (computers, printers, projectors) is functional, and enforcing safety guidelines.
- Digital Literacy: Educating young learners on cyber safety, internet etiquette, and responsible technology usage.
- Integration & Collaboration: Supporting other teachers by integrating technology into classroom projects and collaborating on school activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (B.Sc./BCA) or a relevant field. A B.Ed. or NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) is often preferred for primary roles.
- Experience: Previous experience as a primary computer teacher in a private school is preferred, though some schools accept freshers.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, basic coding tools (e.g., Scratch), and operating systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience in teaching young children, and creative teaching methods.
