About the Role
iEngineering India (part of the iEngineering Australia group) is engaged on a landmark, large-scale data center construction programme in Maharashtra, India, for a major global critical-infrastructure client. As the programme moves from planning into delivery, we are building out our project leadership team.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of a major data center construction project in Maharashtra, managing the project from early-stage planning and statutory approvals through to full construction execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for a large-scale data center development: planning, statutory approvals, design coordination, procurement interface, construction execution, and handover.
- Lead engagement with power, water, environmental, fire, and planning authorities to secure and track all required approvals and NOCs.
- Develop and maintain the project schedule, budget, and resourcing plan; manage critical path risks.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors (civil, electrical, mechanical, ELV/ICT fit-out) on site.
- Manage HSE compliance and quality standards appropriate to a mission-critical facility.
- Act as primary point of contact for client stakeholders, providing regular progress, risk, and forecast reporting.
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager on variations, claims, and contractual matters affecting programme or cost.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- 10–20 years' project management experience, ideally including data center, mission-critical facilities, or comparable large industrial/infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience securing statutory and utility approvals in India.
- Strong stakeholder management, scheduling (MS Project/Primavera), and risk management skills.
- PMP / RICS / equivalent certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent English Communication
