Job Title: Senior Electrical Production & Panel Design Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Production & Design Engineer with expertise in Electrical & Control panel design. The candidate will be responsible for designing electrical schematics, selecting appropriate switchgear, sizing components, and generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) for Electrical & Industrial control panels. These panels are primarily intended for Diesel Generators which require both Manual and AMF Panels with auto change over requirements etc, requiring precision in component selection and layout. The Candidate shall also be responsible for production of the Panels & Electrical related parts of the product, including Testing and Quality Control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical schematics for control panels.
- Prepare accurate and detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Select appropriate switchgear and electrical components based on application requirements.
- Perform component sizing for protection, control, and power distribution.
- Optimize component placement within control panels for space efficiency and thermal management.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Collaborate with mechanical designers, project managers, and procurement teams.
- Ensure Quality Control
- Take charge of panel manufacturing and testing.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical production and panel design.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong knowledge of electrical standards, switchgear selection, and component sizing.
- Experience with Diesel Generators or similar industrial applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with IEC, IS, or relevant electrical safety standards.
- Ability to diagnose electrical faults in panels and DG systems
- Knowledge of testing instruments and procedures for DG panels
- Knowledge in electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and wiring layouts
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
