Job Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in electrical design and engineering for industrial projects.
- Prepare and update Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts and schematic drawings.
- Assist in electrical load calculations, cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
- Prepare load schedules, cable schedules and equipment schedules.
- Assist in preparation of Electrical BOQ/MTO and material specifications.
- Design and coordinate layouts for power distribution, lighting, small power, earthing and lightning protection.
- Develop basic understanding of HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, PCC/MCC, motors, VFDs and UPS systems.
- Coordinate electrical designs with Mechanical, Civil, HVAC and Instrumentation teams.
- Review drawings and documents as per project requirements and applicable IS/IEC standards.
- Maintain design calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
- Incorporate comments and revisions in drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of basic Electrical Engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution and Industrial Electrical Systems.
- Understanding of SLD, load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop and protection systems.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of ETAP / EPLAN / DIALux will be an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering – Fresher.
- Strong interest in Electrical Design Engineering.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good technical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn design software and industrial design practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
