Senior Jewellery CAD/CAM Designer (End-to-End Production)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Jewellery CAD/CAM Designer who can independently manage the complete jewellery development process—from concept design to production-ready files. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CAD modelling, CAM preparation, 3D printing, and coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality jewellery production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design gold, diamond, antique, temple, and lightweight jewellery using professional CAD software.
- Create accurate and production-ready 3D models using Rhino, MatrixGold, RhinoGold, JewelCAD, or similar software.
- Prepare STL files for 3D printing and CAM processes.
- Operate and manage the complete CAD/CAM workflow.
- Ensure designs are manufacturing-friendly with proper stone settings, wall thickness, and weight optimization.
- Coordinate with 3D printing, casting, moulding, polishing, stone setting, and production teams.
- Review prototypes and make design modifications before production.
- Optimize designs for quality, durability, and cost-effective manufacturing.
- Maintain design libraries and project documentation.
- Deliver projects within deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
Required Skills
- 3–7 years of experience in Jewellery CAD/CAM.
- Strong expertise in Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), MatrixGold, RhinoGold, JewelCAD, or similar software.
- Hands-on experience with CAM, STL generation, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping.
- Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes, including:
- CAD Design
- CAM Preparation
- STL File Generation
- Resin/Wax 3D Printing
- Rubber Mould Making
- Casting
- Filing & Assembly
- Stone Setting
- Polishing & Finishing
- Quality Control
- Knowledge of gold weight optimization and gemstone settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects from concept to final production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in luxury gold and diamond jewellery manufacturing.
- Knowledge of rendering software is an added advantage.
- Experience working with jewellery manufacturing units.
