Job Objective
To provide comprehensive dermatological consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care while ensuring high clinical standards, patient safety, ethical medical practices, and an excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dermatology consultations and clinical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions involving skin, hair, nails, and related disorders.
- Develop appropriate, evidence-based treatment plans for patients.
- Manage acute and chronic dermatological conditions and provide appropriate follow-up.
- Identify cases requiring multidisciplinary consultation or referral to other specialties.
- Perform dermatological procedures within the scope of qualification and hospital privileges.
- Provide appropriate pre-procedure assessment, counselling, consent, and post-procedure care.
- Ensure timely identification and management/referral of clinically significant or emergency conditions.
2. Patient Care & Counselling
- Explain diagnosis, treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, and alternatives clearly to patients and attendants.
- Maintain a patient-centric and empathetic approach during consultations.
- Counsel patients regarding medication adherence, skincare, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care where appropriate.
- Ensure patients understand follow-up requirements and warning signs requiring medical attention.
3. Hospital Coordination
- Coordinate with other consultants, nursing teams, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other hospital departments for comprehensive patient care.
- Provide dermatology opinions for inpatients whenever required.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions for complex cases.
- Coordinate with the hospital team for procedures, admissions, investigations, and follow-up care as clinically indicated.
4. Clinical Documentation
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including history, examination findings, diagnosis, treatment plan, prescriptions, procedures, and follow-up instructions.
- Ensure proper documentation of informed consent for applicable procedures.
- Maintain appropriate medical records as per hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Document adverse events, complications, and significant clinical developments appropriately.
5. Quality & Compliance
- Follow ONUS Hospital's clinical protocols, infection-control practices, patient-safety standards, and SOPs.
- Practice strictly within professional qualifications, medical ethics, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement initiatives, and departmental reviews.
- Stay updated with current dermatological guidelines, treatments, technologies, and evidence-based practices.
6. Department Development
- Support the development and expansion of Dermatology services at ONUS Hospital.
- Contribute to standardisation of dermatology clinical protocols and patient pathways.
- Participate in academic activities, CME programs, workshops, and internal clinical training.
- Support appropriate awareness and patient-education initiatives conducted by the hospital.

Qualification & Experience
- MBBS + MD/DNB in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (DVL) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Relevant clinical experience in a hospital/clinical setting preferred.
- Experience in dermatological procedures and modern dermatology practices will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹34,877.66 - ₹138,470.57 per month
