Barista Duties and Responsibilities : -
Baristas perform a range of tasks related to the preparation and serving of coffee and other beverages.
They also provide excellent customer service, interact with a diverse array of customers, and maintain cleanliness in the workspace.
Baristas are primarily responsible for delivering high-quality beverages and food products, with daily duties and responsibilities including:
- Greet customers and present the menu
- Understand the menu and be able to articulate it to the customers
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare and serve beverages and food products consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- Operate coffee making equipment
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment
- Describe menu items to customers and suggest products that might appeal to them
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Provide customers with information about the shop, products, and promotions
- Restock shelves and maintain inventory
Stewards have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare dining areas before service begins
- Set up tables with tableware, condiments, and other necessary items
- Assist in food and beverage service, under the guidance of the waiting staff
- Clear tables promptly after customers finish their meals
- Clean and polish cutlery, glassware, and dishes
- Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment by following proper cleaning procedures
- Assist in inventory management, which includes restocking supplies when necessary
- Dispose of waste in accordance with waste management procedures
- Follow and maintain knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Handle customer complaints regarding cleanliness or service, if any, and resolve them in a courteous manner
Pastry Chef Duties and Responsibilities
Pastry Chefs create intricate desserts, pastries, and other baked goods.
They use their creativity and understanding of ingredients to design and make sweet culinary creations.
Pastry Chefs are primarily responsible for kitchen operations related to desserts and pastries, with daily duties and responsibilities including:
- Create and develop new recipes for pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, and breads according to recipes or personal judgment
- Decorate pastries and desserts using different types of icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation is beautiful and exciting
- Measure and mix ingredients needed for specific pastry recipes
- Collaborate with other culinary team members to ensure the food being presented is of the highest quality
- Maintain cleanliness and adherence to health standards in the kitchen
- Monitor baking progress, adjust oven temperatures, and test quality of baked goods
- Order and manage inventory of baking supplies
- Assist in planning and implementing dessert menus for special events
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
