WSP is currently seeking a Structural Engineer with experience in Water retaining structures. The successful candidate will be experienced in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with specific experience in pipeline, pump station and treatment plants.
The candidate shall be responsible for the development and execution of structural designs from concept design to detail design, ensuring high technical standards including production and review of high-quality technical documentation.

- Must be experienced in using PDF Xchange or Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Package
- Must have experience in one of these software packages: Strand7, SpaceGass, ROBOT, Microstran
Preferred experience, but not essential: Hilti Profis Engineering, Rapt, INDUCTA, NAVISWORKS, Math CAD, Structural Toolkit, RAM Connections.
Key Competencies/Skills/Qualifications
- Should have 4 years to 8 years’ experience in water Structural
- Should have Degree in Civil/Structural or relevant field
- Willing to gain Chartership status in Australia
- Australian design experience, ideally in a consultancy environment and can work independently
- Design experience in concrete and steel structures
- Experience in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with specific experience in pipeline, pump station design and treatment plants.
- Preference for water retaining structures experience.
- Good knowledge of relevant industry related Australian Standards and WSAA codes would be advantageous.
- Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- The ability to submit technical reports to a high standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports.
- Experience in Design and Construction projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English.
