Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Tester Intern who is eager to learn and build a career in Software Quality Assurance. The intern will support the QA team in testing web and mobile applications, gaining hands-on experience in manual and basic automation testing under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in writing and executing manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Perform functional, UI, and basic regression testing.
- Identify, report, and track bugs using defect tracking tools.
- Support the QA team in test planning and documentation.
- Learn and assist with basic automation testing using tools like Selenium (exposure level).
- Help in API testing (basic level).
- Collaborate with developers and QA leads to understand requirements and test scenarios.
- Participate in testing of new features and production releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC.
- Knowledge of manual testing techniques.
- Familiarity with bug life cycle and test case writing.
- Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work in a team environment.
Nice to Have:
- Basic knowledge of automation testing or any scripting language (Java / Python / JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to Git or version control systems.
