Job Description
We are looking for a UI/UX Intern who doesn't just "make things look pretty" but understands the mechanics of a scalable design system. You will be deeply involved in crafting high-fidelity interfaces, building reusable components, and mapping out complex user flows. This is an ideal role for someone who is obsessed with Figma, loves organized layers, and wants to see their prototypes turn into real-world products.
Responsibilities
- Scalable UI Design: Design modern, clean, and responsive interfaces for web and mobile applications using Figma.
- Design Systems: Assist in building and maintaining a robust design library, including the use of Figma Variables (colors, spacing, modes) and Auto Layout for scalable growth.
- Prototyping: Create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate user journeys and micro-interactions.
- Wireframing: Translate complex project requirements into functional wireframes and low-fidelity blueprints.
- User Research: Collaborate with our Business Analysts to understand user personas and iterate designs based on feedback and data.
- Handoff: Prepare design files for the development team, ensuring all assets and specifications are clear and implementable.
- Consistency: Ensure all screens align with brand guidelines and maintain a high level of visual and functional polish.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Figma Power User: Advanced knowledge of Figma is a must (Components, Variants, Auto Layout, and Prototyping).
- Strong understanding of UX principles, typography, color theory, and grid systems.
- A portfolio that showcases your process—from initial wireframes to polished, scalable UI screens.
- Excellent attention to detail (you're the type who notices a 1px misalignment).
- Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Figma Variables and advanced prototyping features.
- Basic understanding of how designs translate to code (HTML/CSS/React logic).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) for asset creation.
- Interest in specialized industries like e-commerce or inventory management systems.
