Executive Chef

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations at our 4-star hotel. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, creativity in menu planning, excellent knowledge of food safety standards, and the ability to manage food cost while maintaining exceptional food quality and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, including restaurant, banquet, room service, and specialty outlets.
- Develop seasonal menus, recipes, and food presentations in line with the hotel's standards.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Control food cost, minimize waste, and manage kitchen budgets effectively.
- Maintain inventory, ordering, receiving, and stock control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff.
- Plan duty rosters and manage staffing levels efficiently.
- Coordinate with the F&B, Sales, and Banquet teams to execute events successfully.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance.
- Handle guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–15 years of culinary experience, including 3–5 years as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Indian, Continental, Chinese, and regional cuisines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Sound knowledge of food costing, menu engineering, budgeting, and inventory management.
- HACCP/Food Safety certification is an added advantage.
