Assistant Manager-Process Improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and improve manufacturing processes using industrial engineering techniques
- Perform time studies, motion studies, work sampling, and line balancing
- Optimize manpower deployment, takt time, throughput, and capacity utilization
- Design efficient layouts for production lines, material flow, and workstations
- Lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, VSM, SMED)
- Drive waste elimination across overproduction, waiting, motion, inventory, defects, and rework
- Improve key operational metrics such as OEE, FPY, cycle time, and labour productivity
- Develop the culture of continuous improvement across shop‑floor teams
- Identify and execute cost‑reduction initiatives through productivity and process improvements
- Reduce downtime, scrap, non‑value‑added activities, and energy losses
- Track and validate financial benefits from implemented improvements
- Support annual productivity and efficiency roadmaps at plant level
- Actively involve in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Improve process capability, standard work compliance, and error‑proofing (Poka‑Yoke)
- Support deployment of MES, digital productivity tools, and Industry 4.0 initiatives
- Use data analytics to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with IT and Engineering teams for automation and system integration
- Coordination with CFT - Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams
- Train supervisors and operators on standard work and improvement methodologies
- Support change management and sustainability of implemented improvements
- Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and problem‑solving sessions
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts
- Hands‑on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence tools
- Proficiency in time study, line balancing, VSM, and layout optimization
- Knowledge of OEE, productivity KPIs, and cost improvement metrics
- Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, and problem‑solving methodologies
- Data‑driven problem‑solving mindset
- Effective communication and stakeholder influence skills
- Ability to drive change and engage cross‑functional teams
- Strong shop‑floor exposure in process manufacturing environments
Certifications (Preferred)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
- TPM / Kaizen / Industrial Engineering certifications
- Safety or quality certifications relevant to industry
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
