Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Consultant / Developer to join a dedicated client engagement with a leading healthcare organization.
The successful candidate will take ownership of an existing live Salesforce environment, work closely with the current Salesforce implementation partners during the knowledge-transfer and transition phase, and subsequently provide ongoing administration, development, support, enhancement, and optimization.
This role is ideal for someone who can understand an established Salesforce ecosystem quickly, work directly with business and technology stakeholders, troubleshoot issues independently, and identify opportunities for automation, integration, and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesSalesforce Administration & Support
- Take ownership of the existing Salesforce platform and understand its current configuration and architecture.
- Provide day-to-day Salesforce administration and application support.
- Manage users, roles, profiles, permissions, workflows, configurations, and other administrative activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Handle bug fixes, configuration changes, and application enhancements.
Salesforce Development
- Develop and maintain Salesforce solutions based on business requirements.
- Build and maintain Salesforce Flows, Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning components as required.
- Customize Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and other platform components.
- Follow Salesforce development and configuration best practices.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
Knowledge Transfer & Transition
- Work closely with existing Salesforce implementation partners during the transition and knowledge-transfer phase.
- Understand the existing Salesforce architecture, customizations, integrations, data flows, and business processes.
- Review existing documentation, configurations, custom code, and integration points.
- Document key processes, technical components, dependencies, and support procedures.
- Ensure a smooth transition from the existing implementation/support partners.
Integrations & Automation
- Work with Salesforce integrations and external systems using APIs and integration technologies.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and support existing interfaces.
- Identify repetitive and manual processes that can be automated.
- Design and implement automation using Salesforce capabilities such as Flow.
- Explore opportunities to use reusable components and MicroBots to simplify repetitive activities and improve operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management
- Work directly with business users, technology teams, implementation partners, and client stakeholders.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
- Provide technical recommendations and explain solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in requirement discussions, solution design, testing, releases, and deployment activities.
Testing & Release Management
- Support development, testing, deployment, and release activities.
- Prepare and execute unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify and resolve issues before production deployment.
- Follow appropriate change-management and release-management processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience working with Salesforce CRM.
- Experience in Salesforce Administration, Configuration, and Development.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Flow.
- Hands-on experience with Apex development.
- Good understanding of Salesforce APIs and integrations.
- Experience with Salesforce objects, validation rules, reports, dashboards, security, and automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand existing Salesforce environments and become productive quickly.
- Experience working with business users, clients, technology teams, and implementation partners.
- Good understanding of software development, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Salesforce Lightning.
- Experience with complex Salesforce integrations.
- Experience supporting and enhancing an existing Salesforce implementation.
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is an advantage.
- Exposure to automation, reusable components, or RPA technologies.
- Experience working in a client-facing consulting environment.
- Understanding of Salesforce best practices and platform governance.
