An AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Their primary roles and responsibilities include:
Installation: Set up and install AC systems (split, central, HVAC), ensuring proper electrical wiring, refrigerant handling, and system efficiency.
Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, clean or replace filters, clean coils, inspect drainage, and lubricate moving parts to ensure the AC system runs smoothly.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, replace faulty components, and test systems to ensure proper functioning.
Upgrades and Replacements: Advise customers on system upgrades for better efficiency or cost-effectiveness, and recommend energy-saving solutions.
Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service, offer cost estimates, and schedule regular maintenance visits.
Health and Safety: Follow safety guidelines when handling electrical systems, refrigerants, and hazardous materials. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure environmental safety in refrigerant handling.
Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, track inventory, and document system performance for future reference.
