About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Detailer to join our growing engineering team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing precise 3D structural steel models and comprehensive fabrication drawings. If you have a sharp eye for engineering details, a strong grasp of steel connections, and hands-on expertise in Tekla Structures, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities
- 3D Modeling: Create accurate and detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures based on architectural and engineering drawings.
- Drawing Generation: Produce clear and accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings, anchor bolt plans, and assembly/shop fabrication drawings.
- BOM & Reports: Generate precise Bill of Materials (BOM), material take-offs, bolt lists, and weld lists.
- CNC & MIS Output: Export and manage reliable CNC data and MIS files for smooth shop floor fabrication.
- Coordination & RFI: Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and fabricators, resolving clashes and raising RFIs when required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: ITI or Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or a related technical drafting discipline.
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on structural steel detailing experience using Tekla Structures.
- Technical Know-How:
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures (latest versions preferred) with a strong portfolio of completed steel projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel connections, welding symbols, standard detailing practices, and AISC/IS/BS codes.
- Ability to read and interpret complex structural engineering and architectural drawings.
- Competencies: High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight project deadlines.
