We are hiring a Lead Software Engineer to set the Camunda 8 architecture and lead migrations from legacy BPM systems across multiple complexity tiers. Responsibilities

Own and define the target Camunda 8 solution architecture for in-scope processes, aligned to the Logical Data Model and ABAC/PBAC access control model

Set and uphold Camunda engineering standards, quality metrics, and best practices across the Development POD
-
Lead migration delivery by complexity tier across AI-assisted generation, draft-plus-manual redesign, and full REST-based redesign
-
Create and validate parallel-run and cutover strategies for each process, including routing, shared integration layer, and decommission triggers

Align application-layer and platform-layer design by coordinating with the third-party vendor responsible for Camunda platform and infrastructure setup

Confirm Integration Layer connectivity to existing REST APIs in coordination with the API team

Lead the reference data migration approach covering process definitions, DMN tables, forms, business dictionaries, and lookup tables

Unblock cross-team technical dependencies between the Development POD, Solution Architecture, and the Service Store

Assist UAT technical validation and defect resolution while contributing to runbooks and knowledge transfer for BPM Admins and IT Operations

Support backlog sizing and complexity assessment using defined criteria such as steps, integrations, rules complexity, and data model complexity
Requirements

Broad software engineering background with 10-15 years of overall experience

Track record delivering Camunda 8 in large enterprise settings
-
Effective team management skills with the ability to lead technical discussions with client architecture boards
-
Hands-on leadership experience migrating legacy BPM platforms to Camunda using parallel-run cutover patterns

Strong knowledge of Camunda 8 components including Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist, and Connectors

Practical skills in BPMN 2.0, DMN/FEEL, and Camunda Forms
Nice to have

TIBCO BPM migration experience

Experience with OIDC providers such as Microsoft Entra ID or Okta in Camunda contexts

Working knowledge of Camunda deployment architecture including HA and PostgreSQL as secondary storage
