Job Description Database Administrator (DBA)

Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and optimizing enterprise database environments. The candidate should possess strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, with hands-on experience in database migration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
The role requires close collaboration with application development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing database solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Database Administration

Install, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
- Perform database performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, backup & recovery, and capacity planning.
- Implement database security, user management, high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and monitoring solutions.
- Design and implement data synchronization, database optimization, backup policy implementation, archival policy implementation, and disaster recovery strategies for the centralized Database.

Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and database standards.
Database Design & Development

Support database design, schema management, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database version control.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, scalability, and adherence to database standards.
Database Migration & Modernization

Plan and execute database migration and modernization activities using industry-standard migration tools.
Perform database validation, performance benchmarking, and post-migration optimization.

Educational Qualification
