Job Description:
What You will do:
- Lead the preparation, review, and approval of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with structural drawings.
- Prepare, validate, and monitor Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for tendering, work orders, contractor billing, and project cost planning.
- Oversee material reconciliation and consumption analysis to minimize wastage and optimize project costs.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quantity audits to verify executed work, measurements, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Review and certify contractor bills, work measurements, and payment recommendations in accordance with contractual terms.
- Prepare and evaluate rate analysis, variation orders, extra item claims, and cost estimates for management approval.
- Monitor project budgets, identify cost deviations, and recommend corrective actions to ensure effective cost control.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, contractors, and procurement teams to resolve quantity- and billing-related issues.
- Ensure timely reporting of discrepancies, quantity variations, material shortages, and excess consumption to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of BOQs, BBS, contractor bills, reconciliation statements, and project documentation.
- Support tender evaluation, vendor negotiations, and final account settlements.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual obligations, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and billing engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and project timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 7–10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Billing, and Cost Management in the Real Estate or Construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, BBS, quantity estimation, contractor billing, and material reconciliation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, ERP/SAP (preferred), and estimation/billing software.
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings, IS codes, and project execution processes.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams effectively.
