Position : Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Industry : FMCG or any Manufacturing Industry
Experience : 3-5 years
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance
- Coordinate with external electrical contractors/service providers.
- Supervise electrical installation, repair and maintenance work carried out by contractors.
- Supervise day-to-day electrical maintenance activities.
- Ensure smooth operation of electrical systems, machinery, panels, motors, pumps and other equipment.
- Attend to electrical breakdowns and minimize machine downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular inspection of motors, MCC panels, transformers, DG sets, cables, lighting and electrical installations.
- Maintain proper maintenance records and checklists.
- Breakdown & Troubleshooting
- Identify electrical faults and coordinate immediate corrective action.
- Troubleshoot motors, starters, VFDs, control panels, sensors and other electrical equipment.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and recommend permanent solutions.
- Team Supervision
- Supervise electricians and maintenance technicians.
- Allocate daily maintenance work and monitor completion.
- Ensure technicians follow safe working practices.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and applicable statutory requirements.
- Monitor proper earthing, insulation, electrical protection and panel safety.
- Ensure use of appropriate PPE and safe isolation/LOTO procedures.
- Utilities & Plant Equipment
- Monitor electrical systems supporting production, refrigeration, HVAC, pumps, compressors, boilers and other utilities.
- Coordinate with production and other departments for maintenance activities.
- Energy Management
- Monitor electricity consumption and identify opportunities for energy saving.
- Check power factor, load distribution and abnormal electrical consumption.
- Spare Parts & Inventory
- Identify required electrical spares and maintain minimum stock levels.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase departments for timely availability of critical spares.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain breakdown reports, preventive maintenance records and equipment history.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports.
- Report major electrical issues and improvement requirements to management.
