Job Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial cooling and HVAC equipment at customer sites. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, customer interaction, and frequent site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission air cooling and ventilation systems.
- Service and maintain:
- Air Washers
- Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- Single-Stage and Two-Stage Coolers
- Ventilation Systems
- Water Pumps, Motors, and Electrical Controls
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Replace components such as filters, motors, pumps, belts, and cooling pads.
- Read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Prepare service reports and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with customers regarding service schedules and technical issues.
- Follow safety procedures during installation and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in HVAC, evaporative cooling, or industrial cooling systems.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, pumps, and control panels.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
- Basic English communication and report-writing skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites.
Preferred Skills
- HVAC installation and maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of ducting and ventilation systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
- Customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently at field locations.
Salary Range
Typical salary advertised for similar positions at Evapoler has been around ₹17,000–₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and skills. Benefits may include PF, health insurance, and paid leave.
