Job Title: Professor & Head of the Department (HOD) – Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

Department: Computer Science and Engineering.
The Professor & Head of the Department (CSE) is responsible for providing academic leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The role involves promoting excellence in teaching, research, and innovation while ensuring the department’s growth aligns with institutional goals and industry standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of curriculum in alignment with AICTE/UGC norms and emerging technologies.
- Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
- Supervise and mentor faculty members to enhance teaching quality, research output, and professional development.
- Encourage interdisciplinary learning and innovative pedagogical approaches.
Research & Development
- Promote research culture within the department by initiating funded projects, patents, and publications.
- Facilitate collaboration with industry, research organizations, and government bodies for grants and consultancy projects.
- Guide faculty and students in research, publications, and conference participation.
Administration & Management
- Plan and manage departmental budgets, infrastructure, and resources effectively.
- Oversee scheduling, academic planning, faculty recruitment, and student affairs.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation bodies such as NBA, NAAC, and AICTE.
- Conduct departmental meetings and maintain academic records and performance reports.
Industry & Outreach
- Develop partnerships with IT industries and professional bodies to enhance placements, internships, and training programs.
- Organize seminars, workshops, hackathons, and technical symposiums.
- Represent the department in institutional and external forums.
Qualification & Experience
- Educational Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of teaching/research/industry experience, out of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
- Proven experience in academic administration and leadership roles.
- Desirable:
- Strong research publication record in reputed journals (SCI/Scopus).
- Experience in securing research funding or executing consultancy projects.
- Familiarity with modern teaching tools, e-learning platforms, and outcome-based education (OBE).

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
