Hotel Rio Benaras is looking for a dynamic and result-driven Sales Manager to lead our corporate, B2B, and banquet sales in Varanasi. The ideal candidate will focus on driving room occupancy, securing banquet bookings, maintaining corporate partnerships, and expanding our market presence in the regional hospitality sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Generation & Business Development
- Drive Room Sales: Identify, pitch to, and secure business from corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators (FIT/GIT), and event planners.
- Promote Banquets & Events: Maximize revenue for the hotel’s banquet and meeting spaces by sourcing conferences, social events, and corporate gatherings.
- Conduct Field Visits: Regularly meet potential B2B clients and corporate travel desks within Varanasi and surrounding regions to build strong partnerships.
- Negotiate Rates: Formulate competitive corporate tariffs, packages, and group rates under the guidance of the management team.
Client Relationship Management
- Key Account Management: Maintain robust relationships with existing corporate accounts and travel agencies to secure repeat business.
- Conduct Site Inspections: Guide potential clients and event organizers through the hotel, showcasing the rooms, amenities, and banquet capabilities.
- Resolve Queries: Ensure quick handling of corporate booking queries, group invoices, and client feedback to build high loyalty. [1, 2]
Market Strategy & Reporting
- Competitor Analysis: Track regional hospitality trends and competitor pricing in Varanasi to keep the hotel's packages highly competitive.
- Pipeline Monitoring: Maintain a clean sales pipeline tracker and provide weekly sales reports to the General Manager.
Job Requirements
- Education: MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Hospitality Management is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years of proven sales experience specifically within the hotel/hospitality industry.
- Local Market Knowledge: Strong network of existing corporate clients and travel agents in Varanasi and Eastern Uttar Pradesh is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both English and Hindi.
- Tech-Savviness: Comfort working with hotel property management systems (PMS), central reservation tools, and CRM software.
