Job Summary
The CBSE High School Chemistry Associate Teacher supports the teaching and learning of Chemistry for students in Grades VI - X . The teacher is responsible for delivering engaging classroom instruction, conducting laboratory experiments, promoting scientific inquiry, and assessing student learning in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, laboratory manuals, worksheets, presentations, and assessments.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions while ensuring adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
- Assess student learning through assignments, quizzes, practical examinations, projects, and periodic tests.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic progress, and assessment outcomes.
- Provide remedial instruction and academic support to students requiring additional assistance.
- Foster scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills through activity-based learning.
- Integrate digital tools, simulations, and smart classroom technologies into teaching.
- Prepare students for practical examinations, science fairs, Olympiads, and other academic competitions.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, departmental meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student achievement.
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.
- Master's degree in Chemistry is preferred.
- CTET/TET qualification is an added advantage (where applicable).
Experience
- 1–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is preferred.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and effective communication skills may also apply.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of the CBSE Chemistry curriculum and laboratory practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to explain chemical concepts through practical demonstrations and real-life applications.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, smart classroom tools, and virtual laboratory resources.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and continuous improvement.
Preferred Competencies
- Experience in activity-based, inquiry-based, and competency-based teaching methodologies.
- Familiarity with NEP 2020 and CBSE assessment reforms.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
