Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of die and mould components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Inspect machined components using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator, and CMM (if available).
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
- Identify quality issues and coordinate with production and design teams for corrective actions.
- Monitor machining and assembly quality to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct trial inspection and support tool validation before customer dispatch.
- Handle customer quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process quality.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–6 years of experience in quality control within the die and mould or tooling industry.
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection techniques.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of CMM operation is an added advantage.
- Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience house moulds and plastic injection moulds, press tools, or die-casting dies.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, PPAP, and FAI.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Salary: ₹3–7 LPA (depending on experience and skills)
Pay: ₹9,727.05 - ₹43,162.80 per month
