We are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, domain experts, and engineering teams. This role requires a strong understanding of Oil & Gas processes, data entities, and operational workflows. The Business Analyst will work closely with business units, domain specialists, and product/engineering teams to translate business needs into clear requirements, shape product capabilities, and ensure solutions align with industry practices and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities

Act as the Oil & Gas domain expert for product and engineering teams

Collaborate with business stakeholders, domain experts, and global users to gather, analyze, and elaborate business requirements

Help engineering teams understand domain concepts, business processes, data models, and key industry entities

Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

Partner with product and engineering teams to shape product features and ensure business value realization
-
Validate solution designs against business objectives and operational workflows
-
Execute and test end-to-end business workflows across the product lifecycle

Identify gaps, edge cases, and process improvement opportunities during solution development

Prepare demonstrations, walkthroughs, and presentations for stakeholders and business users

Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution adoption activities
Requirements
-
6-15 years of experience in Business Analysis
-
Strong understanding of Oil & Gas business processes and operational workflows
-
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, domain experts, product managers, and software engineers

Proven experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and product development environments
-
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
-
Ability to translate complex business concepts into clear functional requirements and user stories

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps

Prior experience and understanding of domain data models
- Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
Nice to have

Experience with upstream, midstream, or downstream Oil & Gas operations

Familiarity with industry data models, business entities, and digital transformation initiatives

Experience in Agile/Scrum product development environments

Exposure to workflow validation, testing, and user acceptance testing processes

Understanding of industry-leading products - ProSource, OSDU, Petrel, Databricks, etc.
