Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Executive – Import with a strong background in Air and Sea logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling import shipments, coordinating with overseas counterparts, and ensuring timely communication and updates to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle import shipments for Air and Sea (LCL, FCL, and Air Cargo).
- Follow up with counterparts and co-loaders on daily routing orders.
- Provide daily shipment updates to clients regarding movement and status.
- Prepare CAN copies and send arrival details to Consignees (CNEE).
- Track shipments and confirm receipt, cargo movement, and arrivals.
- Monitor and update shipment milestones including Stuffing, Movement, ETA, ETD, and Vessel Schedules.
- Coordinate with carriers and suppliers regarding Shipping Orders (SO), container release, and shipment documentation.
- Maintain shipment details such as Container Numbers and Cargo Status.
- Respond to customer queries and resolve shipment-related issues promptly.
- Handle order requests via calls and emails.
- Ensure smooth communication with customers, carriers, and overseas partners.
- Prepare and update Daily Status Reports (DSR) and share them with respective consignees.
- Handle incoming calls and customer enquiries professionally.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in Import Operations / Customer Service in the Logistics or Freight Forwarding industry.
- Experience handling Air and Sea shipments (LCL / FCL / Air).
- Good knowledge of shipment documentation and logistics processes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and client communications simultaneously.
- Proficiency in email communication and reporting (DSR updates).
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of container tracking, vessel schedules, and cargo status updates.
- Experience working with overseas agents and co-loaders.
- Good problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
