We are looking for a dedicated Night Shift Mechanical Engineer to oversee maintenance operations and ensure the smooth functioning of plant machinery and utilities during night hours. This role is specifically for candidates who are comfortable working in a permanent night shift environment and can independently handle maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and emergency breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment during the night shift.
- Attend machine breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot machinery, utility, and equipment-related issues.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of plant machinery and production equipment throughout the shift.
- Maintain daily maintenance logs, reports, and service records.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth night shift operations.
- Follow all safety, maintenance, and operational procedures.
- Assist in identifying and implementing equipment and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, motors, pumps, compressors, and plant equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond promptly to maintenance issues during night hours.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Must be willing to work in a permanent night shift.
- Candidates with prior night shift experience will be preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
