Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Café Chef – American Cuisine to join a premium café under a leading developer. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in American café-style food, excellent food preparation and presentation skills, and the ability to maintain consistent quality, taste and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of American café-style dishes including burgers, sandwiches, fries, steaks, grilled items, salads, soups, wraps and breakfast dishes.
- Handle daily mise en place and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Prepare sauces, dressings, marinades and other basic accompaniments.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion size and presentation.
- Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of orders during peak café hours.
- Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling and portion control.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain efficient ingredient utilization.
- Assist in developing new American dishes and café specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety standards, SOPs and hygiene procedures.
- Coordinate with the service team for smooth and timely order execution.
- Guide and support junior kitchen staff when required.
- Maintain high standards of food presentation suitable for a premium café.
Required Skills

Who Can Apply?
Candidates with 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Café Chef, American Cuisine Chef, CDP, DCDP or Senior Commis in a premium café, restaurant, hotel or resort are encouraged to apply.
