Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily restaurant service, ensuring professionalism and timely service.
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, explain specials, and assist with menu recommendations.
- Daily coordination, direction and setup of buffet meals at venues.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure correct delivery and presentation.
- Mentor, train, and motivate service staff; manage shift allocations and floor assignments.
- Coordinate closely with kitchen for order timing, special requests, and any guest dietary requirements.
- Monitor and maintain service standards, table setups, and cleanliness on the floor.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and courteously; escalate when needed.
- Manage billing, payment handling, and closing of individual checks as required.
- Maintain inventory levels of service items and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
- Prepare daily service reports and assist with event/banquet coordination when required.
- Enforce hygiene, safety, and cash-handling policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Graduation in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or equivalent preferred.
- 2–5 years’ experience in restaurant service with at least 1 year in a supervisory or captain role.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, wine and beverage pairing is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi; Marathi or Gujarati beneficial.
- Leadership ability, strong team management, and training skills.
- Excellent guest-service orientation, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable handling POS systems and basic MS Office tasks.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Professional appearance and ability to work under pressure during peak periods.
