Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Barista to join our café team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth day-to-day café operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages including espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, mocha, cold coffee, and specialty beverages.
- Operate and maintain professional coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Ensure consistent coffee quality, taste, temperature, and presentation.
- Grind coffee beans and adjust grinder settings according to brewing requirements.
- Follow standard recipes and beverage preparation procedures.
- Prepare beverages efficiently during busy service hours.
- Take customer orders accurately and process billing/POS transactions when required.
- Interact professionally with customers and understand their beverage preferences.
- Handle customer queries and resolve basic complaints politely.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar, equipment, counters, and workstations.
- Monitor coffee, milk, syrups, ingredients, cups, and other inventory items.
- Inform the supervisor about stock requirements and shortages.
- Minimize wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Support the café team with opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in training junior baristas or café staff when required.
- Contribute ideas for new beverages, seasonal menus, and café promotions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing techniques.
- Good understanding of espresso machines and coffee grinders.
- Knowledge of latte art is an advantage.
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
- Good attention to detail and presentation.
- Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of POS and billing systems.
- Good hygiene and food-safety practices.
- Ability to handle multiple orders while maintaining quality.
Qualification
- 12th pass / Graduate preferred.
- Barista certification or professional coffee training is an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Barista, preferably in a premium café, specialty coffee shop, hotel, or restaurant.
- Candidates with strong practical coffee-making skills may be considered based on their expertise.
Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
