Job Description – Visa Compliance Officer (Australia & New Zealand)Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Visa Compliance Officer – Australia & New Zealand to manage student visa compliance and admissions processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Australian and New Zealand immigration frameworks, strong analytical skills, and experience working with South Asian student markets.
Key Responsibilities Compliance & Admissions
- Conduct comprehensive compliance reviews for student applications destined for Australia and New Zealand.
- Assess Genuine Student (GS) requirements and evaluate visa eligibility.
- Ensure all applications comply with university, immigration, and regulatory standards.
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission.
Visa Processing
- Manage the complete student visa lifecycle for Australia and New Zealand.
- Perform document verification and compliance checks.
- Prepare and lodge visa applications in accordance with current immigration regulations.
- Track application progress and manage post-lodgement follow-ups until final outcomes are received.
Stakeholder Management & Training
- Provide compliance guidance and support to internal teams and recruitment partners.
- Conduct training sessions on visa policies, compliance requirements, and process updates.
- Act as a subject matter expert for ANZ visa compliance-related queries.
Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor and interpret policy updates, immigration changes, and regulatory developments across Australia and New Zealand.
- Implement process improvements to ensure ongoing compliance and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and audit-ready documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Australia and New Zealand student visa compliance and admissions.
- Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand immigration frameworks and student visa regulations.
- Experience working with South Asian markets, particularly India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
- Excellent analytical, documentation review, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced international education environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with international education providers, universities, or education agencies.
- Familiarity with student management and visa processing systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously.
