Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection from patients of all age groups.
- Ensure correct patient identification before specimen collection.
- Label samples accurately and maintain proper documentation.
- Follow standard infection control and safety procedures during sample collection.
- Handle and transport specimens to the laboratory while maintaining sample integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sample collection area.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding test preparation if required.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during or after blood collection.
- Maintain stock of collection materials such as needles, vacutainers, and gloves.
- Follow laboratory policies, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
