Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team in Kozhikode (Mankavu). As an Academic Counsellor, you will provide guidance to students and parents, help them make informed academic and career decisions, and support Catalyst Education’s admissions and growth goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with students and parents to understand their academic goals and aspirations.
- Provide information on courses, programs, eligibility criteria, and admission procedures.
- Assist prospective students through the inquiry to enrollment process, including follow-ups and document guidance.
- Convert enquiries and leads into confirmed enrollments to meet monthly targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and educational stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, counselling notes, and admissions data.
- Collaborate with the academic and marketing teams to support student outreach and engagement activities.
- Participate in events, seminars, admissions drives, and community outreach to promote Catalyst Education programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Any discipline (Education, Psychology, Commerce, Arts, or related fields preferred).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malayalam (Hindi is an advantage).
- Strong interpersonal, active listening, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to confidently interact with students and parents in person and on calls.
- Target-driven mindset with good negotiation and conversion skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented education environment.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience (6 months – 3 years) in academic counselling, admissions counselling, or related roles in the EdTech or educational services sector is desirable.
- Experience with CRM systems and lead-management tools is a plus.
