The Sales Consultant will be responsible for promoting and selling cancer diagnostic products and solutions to hospitals, pathology laboratories, diagnostic centers, oncologists, and healthcare professionals within the assigned territory. The role involves generating new business, maintaining customer relationships, conducting product demonstrations, and achieving sales targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Promote and sell cancer diagnostic products including IHC antibodies, reagents, kits, instruments, consumables, and related pathology solutions.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Identify new customers and business opportunities in hospitals, diagnostic labs, pathology centers, and research institutions.
- Develop strong relationships with pathologists, oncologists, laboratory technicians, and procurement teams.
- Conduct regular field visits and customer meetings.
Product Promotion & Demonstration
- Explain product features, applications, and benefits to healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, installations, and trial activities with application/service teams.
- Support customers with basic technical and product-related information.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong customer engagement and ensure high service satisfaction.
- Resolve customer queries and coordinate with internal teams for timely support.
- Follow up on quotations, purchase orders, payments, and repeat business.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and customer feedback.
- Share market insights and business opportunities with management.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily call reports, sales reports, and customer database.
- Ensure timely submission of sales forecasts and expense statements.
- Participate in conferences, CMEs, workshops, and promotional activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in diagnostics, pathology, IVD, or healthcare sales preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication skills and science background may also apply.
- Good understanding of pathology/cancer diagnostics market is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
