Job Title: Tax Executive (Contract Basis – 2 Months)
Location: Bangalore (Work from Office)
We are a Chartered Accountant firm based in Bangalore looking for a Tax Executive on a contract basis for 2 months to support our Income Tax compliance and return filing assignments during the tax filing season.
We are specifically seeking candidates with hands-on experience in Income Tax Return preparation and filing who can independently handle tax compliance work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns for:
- Salaried Individuals
- Proprietorships
- Partnership Firms & LLPs
- Companies
- NRIs
- Computation and review of:
- Capital Gains (Shares, Mutual Funds, Property, ESOPs, etc.)
- Foreign Asset Reporting (Schedule FA)
- Foreign Income disclosures
- DTAA relief and Foreign Tax Credit workings
- Reconciliation and review of:
- AIS / TIS / Form 26AS
- TDS credits and mismatches
- Assisting in:
- Advance Tax computations
- Income Tax notices and compliance responses
- Rectification applications and follow-ups
- Handling NRI taxation matters including:
- Residential status determination
- DTAA applicability
- Foreign income taxation
- Taxability of investments and remittances
- Coordinating with clients for collection of tax information and documentation
- Ensuring accurate reporting and compliance under the Income Tax Act
Technical Skills Required
- Strong practical knowledge of Income Tax provisions
- Hands-on experience in Income Tax Return filing
- Good understanding of:
- Capital Gains taxation
- Foreign Asset reporting
- NRI taxation
- DTAA provisions
- Foreign Tax Credit claims
- Familiarity with:
- Income Tax Portal
- AIS / TIS / Form 26AS reconciliation
- Microsoft Excel and working paper preparation
Candidate Profile
- B.Com / M.Com / Semi-Qualified CA preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Income Tax return filing, preferably in a CA firm (Mandatory)
- Ability to independently handle tax assignments and meet deadlines
- Good analytical, communication and client coordination skills
- Candidates based in Bangalore will be preferred
