The Human Resources - Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring qualified candidates to meet the company's staffing needs. This role involves developing and implementing recruitment strategies, managing the full recruitment lifecycle, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. You will play a key role in identifying professionals with specific expertise relevant to the insurance sector, including underwriters, claims adjusters, actuaries, and particularly skilled insurance sales professionals experienced in agency models.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement recruitment strategies tailored to attract top talent within the insurance industry, with an emphasis on agency sales roles.

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation for various roles across the insurance domain, including our critical agency sales force.

Source candidates through various channels, such as job boards, professional networks, social media, and industry-specific events relevant to insurance, specifically targeting sales professionals.

Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates with relevant insurance experience and skills, especially those with a strong background in insurance agency sales.

Conduct interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit, with a focus on understanding their knowledge of the insurance landscape and sales methodologies.

Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.

Collaborate with hiring managers across different insurance departments, with a particular focus on supporting our expanding agency sales teams, to understand their unique staffing needs and develop compelling job descriptions.

Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, offering insights into market trends within the insurance talent pool, especially for agency sales roles.

Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations specific to the insurance industry where applicable.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices in talent acquisition, and specific hiring challenges or opportunities within the insurance sector, including the agency sales market.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience (2 years) in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a significant portion dedicated to the insurance industry and a demonstrated ability to recruit for sales roles.

Demonstrated understanding of the various roles and functions within an insurance company (e.g., underwriting, claims, actuarial, sales, operations), with a strong understanding of insurance sales models, including agency and direct sales.

Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.

Proficiency in using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other professional networking platforms.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
