Overview

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in the design, implementation, governance, and execution of strategic HR programs and transformation initiatives across Global HR Shared Services and the broader HR organization.

This role collaborates closely with HR leaders, onshore stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and offshore delivery resources to establish project and portfolio management standards, ensure execution excellence, and deliver transformative HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

The incumbent will lead efforts in integrated planning, governance reporting, dependency management, risk mitigation, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement. Additionally, this role will support the development and implementation of future-state HR operating models, processes, technologies, and service delivery capabilities to drive organizational success.

Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution

Develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for HR initiatives.

Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

Lead project teams, assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and comply with HR best practices and legal regulations.

Oversee change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions for employees impacted by HR projects.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and post-implementation reviews.
HR Transformation & Strategic Initiatives

Lead and support HR transformation initiatives across the global HR function, inclusive of Talent Management, Learning & Development, Performance Management and HR Operations sub-functions.

Partner with onshore HR stakeholders to assess current-state processes and design future-state operating models, governance structures, and service delivery approaches.

Drive the implementation of enterprise-wide HR transformation programs, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

Contribute to organizational change management and adoption efforts for transformation initiatives.
Portfolio & Program Management

Establish and manage integrated project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical paths across multiple initiatives.

Monitor portfolio health, project performance, resource allocation, and risk/issue resolution.

Facilitate status reviews and prepare project dashboards, KPIs, and project health metrics to support informed decision-making.
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

Collaborate with senior HR leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, outcomes, and success measures.

Build strong relationships across a global, matrixed organization, driving alignment among diverse stakeholder groups.

Facilitate workshops, leadership discussions, and project reviews to support decision-making and resolve issues.

Communicate project progress, risks, and strategic insights to stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Consult and coach other HR teams / stakeholders on project management methodologies and practices.
PMO Governance & Continuous Improvement

Design and enhance HR PMO methodologies, standards, templates, tools, and governance processes.

Drive consistency in project management practices across HR initiatives and teams.

Implement best practices for project planning, reporting, risk management, change management, and benefits realization.

Identify and execute opportunities to improve operational efficiency, project delivery, and stakeholder experience.
Global Collaboration & Team Leadership

Collaborate with global teams across regions, functions, and time zones to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

Partner with offshore project management and delivery teams to achieve objectives and maintain quality standards.

Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to team members and workstream participants to foster collaboration and high performance.
About you
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor/ Master’s degree in business management, Human Resources, or a related field is required.

Work Experience:

10–12 years of progressive experience in project management, program management, PMO leadership, management consulting, or HR transformation within HR operations or shared services environments.

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, cross-functional programs and multiple concurrent initiatives with measurable outcomes.
-
Hands-on experience in HR transformation projects, including HR system implementation/enhancements, operating model redesign, process optimization, and shared services transitions.
-
Prior experience in global, matrixed organizations with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex structures and collaborate across diverse teams and geographies.

Proven experience in project and program management, with a track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.

Proficiency in project management tools and openness to adopting low-code/no-code platforms and AI-driven solutions.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a focus on achieving project goals.
Leadership & Portfolio Management

Expertise in portfolio governance, dependency management, and risk/issue management.

Skilled in resource planning, prioritization, and aligning initiatives with organizational objectives.

Strong facilitation and stakeholder alignment capabilities, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
HR & Business Acumen

Comprehensive understanding of HR operating models, service delivery, and key HR functions (e.g., Talent Management, Learning & Development, Employee Experience).

Knowledge of organizational effectiveness, change management, and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Technology & Analytical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Experience with project portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Planner, Project Place) and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in KPI development and performance measurement.
