The Camera Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining camera systems such as CCTV, IP cameras, and related security or AV equipment. This role ensures systems are installed correctly, function reliably, and meet safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and mount cameras (CCTV, IP, PTZ, body cams, or AV cameras) at designated locations
- Run, terminate, and label cables (Ethernet, coaxial, fiber, power)
- Configure camera settings, NVRs/DVRs, and network connections
- Test camera angles, focus, lighting, and system performance
- Troubleshoot and repair camera, cabling, or network issues
