Job Summary
The Education Counselor for MBA/BBA students is responsible for guiding and advising students in their academic, career, and personal development journey. The role involves helping students choose the right specialization, identify career goals, prepare for interviews, and develop the necessary skills to succeed in the corporate world. The counselor will also provide emotional and academic support to help students navigate challenges during their MBA/BBA program.
Key Responsibilities
1*. Career Counseling and Guidance*
- Advise students on choosing specializations aligned with their career aspirations.
- Provide insights into industry trends, job roles, and growth opportunities in various sectors.
- Help students set short-term and long-term career goals.
2. Academic Support and Specialization Selection:
- Guide students in selecting electives and projects based on their interests and career goals.
- Help students improve academic performance by identifying and addressing challenges.
3. Counseling and Emotional Support:
- Offer personal counseling to help students manage stress, anxiety, or any challenges during their MBA journey.
- Refer students to professional support services if needed.
4. Administrative and Reporting Duties:
- Maintain records of student interactions and progress.
- Prepare reports on student engagement, feedback, and outcomes for internal review.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Any graduate.
- Experience: 1- 5 years of experience in career counseling, education management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of MBA curriculum, specializations, and industry requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with students.
- Proficiency in MS Office and career counseling tools.
