Job Description
George Maijo Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and responsible Body Shop Manager to manage the operations of our body shop at the Cherthala branch.
The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of automobile body repair processes, team management, customer handling, and workshop operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality repairs, timely vehicle delivery, efficient team performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the body shop.
- Supervise and coordinate denting, painting, accident repair, and restoration activities.
- Allocate repair jobs to technicians and monitor work progress.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired and delivered within committed timelines.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, technicians, insurance teams, and customers.
- Handle insurance claim-related processes and documentation.
- Monitor body shop productivity, revenue, quality, and other KPIs.
- Manage manpower, equipment, materials, and workshop resources efficiently.
- Resolve customer complaints and service-related issues.
- Ensure proper safety, cleanliness, and discipline within the body shop.
- Train, guide, and motivate technicians and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with company and manufacturer standards.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in automobile body shop operations.
- Practical knowledge of denting, painting, accident repair, and vehicle restoration.
- Knowledge of insurance claims and accident repair procedures will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and meet delivery targets.
