About the Role
We are looking for a Robotics Engineer to help develop the autonomous movement and navigation systems of Poppy The EdBot, an AI-powered classroom telepresence robot.
You will work on robot motion, obstacle avoidance, autonomous navigation, docking systems, teacher-following capabilities, and ROS2 integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ROS2-based robotics software
- Implement autonomous navigation systems
- Integrate LiDAR, IMU, ultrasonic sensors, and wheel encoders
- Develop obstacle avoidance algorithms
- Implement SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)
- Develop autonomous docking and charging functionality
- Optimize robot movement and path planning
- Test and debug robot hardware and software
